Innovate NI 2014

Innovate NI 2014
November 10, 2014 Elaine

Elaine Kerr presented at the Innovate NI 2014 conference at the Craigavon Civic Centre recently.

Elaine’s presentation demonstrated how innovation can encourage a move towards greater resource productivity and improvements in competitiveness.  Industrial Symbiosis is an important element in the circular economy so that the businesses we work with can reduce their costs, enhance business opportunities, change their perception towards waste, and ultimately increase environmental benefits.

The success of this presentation is evident in the positive feedback given by those present and who have requested a follow up site visit from a practitioner. Overall we were able to demonstrate that International Synergies NI Ltd has the interest of business and the environment is at the heart of its work.

This event was organised by Craigavon Borough Council’s Economic Development Team and Queen’s University and provided a valuable platform for small to medium sized enterprises to think about the value of innovation to the sustainability and prosperity of their businesses.
