International Synergies NI is delighted to have been awarded a contract to deliver Waste Smart Foundation Training for over 300 staff of Transport NI, a business unit within the Department of Regional Development, over the next four years.
Waste Smart is an industry standard training course designed by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM). It offers accessible, practical and sustainable waste and resource management skills.
International Synergies NI Ltd has been a CIWM accredited training centre since 2013 and has successfully trained over 100 employees to Foundation or Advanced level in a range of business settings.
“This is the first Waste Smart training we have delivered to the public sector,” commented Elaine Kerr, the accredited Trainer for Waste Smart at International Synergies NI. “Being Waste Smart is all about rethinking the way we handle waste not just at home but in our working environments too. It is only when we consider the full impact of our working behaviours on our world that we can start to minimise the production of business waste. This involves both public sector and private business activity and I am delighted that Transport NI sees the value of ensuring its employees are Waste Smart”
