TEXTILES

We work with companies to find circular solutions for waste textiles.

If you would like unwanted textiles to be re-used instead of them ending up in landfill then this section is for you.

Perhaps you are:

  • an events person and you have or will have banners that you no longer need?

  • a manufacturer who has textile off-cuts that are filling up space in your workshop?

  • an entrepreneur who would like to start a business using discarded textiles?

  • a designer that would like to design products that don’t use virgin materials?

Textiles Case Study

Marie Nancarrow is a Multi Award Winning Sustainable Designer from Belfast.

Her expertise in sustainable fashion and circularity has given her company Titanic Denim  a unique perspective on transforming preloved jeans into bespoke designs. She has now expanded her focus to include other reclaimed materials, working towards a more holistic approach to recycling and repurposing.

Recognising the environmental impact of conference supplies, Marie has partnered with International Synergies NI (we collaborate with regularly). Together, we aim to address the immediate need for a solution to manage post-conference waste materials effectively.

Our strategy involves working closely with companies that organise events to establish a system for recycling and repurposing waste materials generated during and after conferences. Marie Nancarrow and International Synergies NI are working on collaborations with event organisers to develop efficient processes and identify innovative ways to give a second life to materials such as vinyl banners, stage dressings, and other conference-related items.

By implementing this strategy, Marie Nancarrow and International Synergies NI seek to minimise the environmental impact of conferences and promote sustainability within the events industry. We believe that by actively involving event organisers we can create a more circular approach to managing waste and contribute to a more sustainable future.

In the past we have worked together through our Invest NI funded Resource Matching Service to support some of Marie’s most innovative products, such as her ‘Rescued’ collection that showcase a luxury line of designer bags made from seat belts off-cut and discarded denim.
